Programs
Regulation and Oversight
The Community Services Department is a department within the Franklin County Human Services Division, which is overseen by the County Commissioners. The Department of Public Welfare regulates the Homeless Assistance Program, Human Services Development Fund, and Information and Referral; however, plans are approved by the County Commissioners. The Temporary Emergency Food Assistance and the State Food Purchase Program are regulated by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
Fees
There are no fees associated with any of the above programs though they may have income eligibility guidelines. Each service is funded by the respective funding sources.
