Like other high-performing organizations, Franklin County’s Office of Veterans Affairs has a clear sense of its mission, a vision for the future, and an understanding of the core values which motivates our actions:

Access: to provide easy access to our veterans, families, and their survivors
Service: to provide up-to-date information, administration, and adjudication for their benefits and entitlements by sharing with them our knowledge and expertise
Quality: to put our veterans first
Satisfaction: to exceed our veterans’, families, and survivors expectations

The Director, Bob Harris, is a US Army retiree, who’s accredited by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to counsel, make applications, and to advocate for veterans and their survivors who seek local, state, and federal benefits.

During the Commonwealth’s Fiscal Year 2007, the Veterans Affairs Office served approximately 2,189 veterans and their survivors.  The office filed 2,009 actions resulting in $1,042,982 being paid directly to the veterans (and survivors) in the way of disability compensation and pensions.

Our office strives to bring the maximum amount of benefits to our veterans and their survivors.
