Intensive Supervision

Program Description

Intensive Probation Supervision is designed to be an alternative to costly out-of-home placements. Juveniles assigned to Intensive Supervision usually have drug and/or alcohol issues. All juveniles assigned to this program must have been adjudicated delinquent or they must be under Probation Supervision as a result of an Informal Adjustment or Consent Decree. The Intensive Juvenile Probation Officers have small caseloads which enable the officers to have frequent contacts with the clients. The clients are seen at school, work, and home several times each week. These officers work non-traditional hours; most evenings there are four (4) officers working in the field.

Additional Information

Intensive Officers help coordinate counseling sessions required of our clients and provide transportation to and from different sessions. The Officers plan and participate in special activities with the juveniles. Activities include movies, sporting events, amusement parks, zoo trips, hiking, and cook outs.
